Use these for quest kill requirements, exotic weapon catalyst progress, etc.
The Whisper
- In the middle of the exotic mission “The Whisper,” there’s a punishment room where Shadow Thralls spawn infinitely.
- This is a Portal activity, so quest requirements that specify “in Portal activities” will also progress here.
- The parkour section to reach the Shadow Thrall room might be stressful for those who struggle with jumping puzzles, but on lower difficulties there’s no revive limit so it’s easy to attempt.
- There’s no place to refill ammo, so it’s not ideal for farming special or heavy weapon kills.
- You can secure special ammo by using the Special Finisher mod.
Last Wish - Shuro Chi
- Farm the Taken Thralls that spawn at the second stage of the Last Wish raid, the Shuro Chi encounter.
- Kill adds until they stop spawning, then wipe and restart the stage.
- You can damage yourself by standing on one of the 3 plates around the boss, useful for wiping.
- You can use a Raid Banner at the starting point to refill ammo and abilities.
How to Get to the Shuro Chi Checkpoint Solo
- Use the Wall of Wishes puzzle
- Shooting each symbol is tedious, but you can do it alone.
- (Video to be added)
- Getting the checkpoint from someone else
- Checkpoints are distributed at https://d2checkpoint.com/
- Move forward to start the combat, then immediately wipe.
- Once you team wipe and the stage restarts, the checkpoint is saved. Leave the team and launch Last Wish solo on the same character.
- While in d2checkpoint, do not explore or do anything unnecessary—wipe immediately.
- Staying too long is bad etiquette. Other participants are waiting for the team wipe to get the checkpoint. During busy times, others are waiting to join.
Crota’s End - Golgorth’s Cellar
- Farm Shadow Thralls and Cursed Thralls in the maze area before the Golgorth encounter in the Crota’s End raid.
- Standing in a specific position causes enemies to spawn infinitely from certain locations. See video below.
-
How to get this checkpoint
Grasp of Avarice
- Farm the adds that come out of the cave at the start of the “Grasp of Avarice” dungeon.
- Enemies drop red engram-shaped buffs when defeated.
- Picking these up gives you the “Burden of Riches” buff (30-second timer).
- When the timer reaches 0 you die, but picking up additional buffs resets the timer.
- At x10 stacks, all abilities including Super are instantly fully charged.
- Engrams explode after a certain time, dealing damage to you and enemies.
- Left alone, engrams will explode and kill enemies, reducing your potential kills—so it’s better to actively pick them up.
- The buff maxes at x100, after which you can’t extend the timer and will die in 30 seconds, but there’s no revive limit so you just respawn.
- Periodically, 3 somewhat annoying Major Wizards spawn, so make sure you have a way to deal with them.
Into the Deep
- One of the Moon story missions from the “Shadowkeep” DLC. Playable during its week in a 3-week rotation.
- Progress through the stage to the very back of the catacombs, obtain the Cryptoglyph, then stay without proceeding to the escape route and farm the infinitely spawning Thralls.
- The infinite spawn won’t start unless you wipe (team wipe) once after obtaining the Cryptoglyph.
- Once you reach this point, the checkpoint for the infinite spawn location is saved, so you can return to orbit and resume immediately.
- It’s safer to kill just the Sniper Acolytes on the cliff above. These enemies don’t respawn.
For Those Who Have Characters That Haven’t Completed “Shadowkeep” DLC / Moon Story Missions
- If you haven’t cleared this mission on that character, you can play it anytime instead of waiting for the 3-week rotation.
- So keep just one character at the checkpoint right after obtaining the Cryptoglyph without progressing further.
- This way you can instantly access this farming spot anytime.
A Mysterious Disturbance
- One of the Moon story missions from the “Shadowkeep” DLC. Playable during its week in a 3-week rotation.
- After passing the starting area, in the area with the giant Shrieker, don’t capture the plate—just farm Thralls, Acolytes, etc.
- There are ammo crates that periodically respawn, so you can use special and heavy ammo freely. Ideal for farming kills with weapons that have poor ammo efficiency.
- However, this mission starts with matchmaking ON by default, so normally other players will progress the mission and you won’t be able to farm kills.
- Therefore, you need to use Solo Enabler to block matchmaking and start solo.
For Those Who Have Characters That Haven’t Completed “Shadowkeep” DLC / Moon Story Missions
- If you haven’t cleared this mission on that character, you can play it anytime instead of waiting for the 3-week rotation.
- So keep just one character at the giant Shrieker area checkpoint without progressing further.
- This way you can access this farming spot anytime.
- Just don’t forget to always block matchmaking and start solo.
